La Lupe known as " La yiyi" or best known as the queen on Latin soul...

was a Cuban-American singer of several musical genres: boleros, guarachas and Latin soul in particular. Known for her energetic, sometimes controversial performances, she is considered by many to be one of the leading singers in the salsa music genre.

i remember back in the DR as a little girl watching re-runs of her in a very famous show that we called "el show del medio dia" and trying to understand her passion...never figured that one out, other than she just loved hard and wanted the same back...i absolutely loved her very controversial performances...i mean she gave it to us...maybe you can see a bit of it in this youtube clip....
