RITA INDIANA Y LOS MISTERIOS *EL JUIDERO*

my love for Rita Indiana is growing faster than i thought it would...just recently started listening to her music and now is just a part of my life...Rita Indiana is not only a musician in every sense of the word but a writer, an innovator, and an all around artist.

This video "el juidero" i think just became my favorite music video of 2010...it gives me very vivid memories of back home when i was a little girl in the late 70's early 80's the years of "Scarface" Mr.Tony Montana" and that whole revolution that was taking place during that time specially in the Dominican Republic coming out of almost 40 years of communism...love when artists are always pushing for more and are not just the same "ole" same "ole" or afraid not to be accepted...every song on her new CD entitle "el Juidero" is not just poetically and musically correct but it has a story of its own in every sense...if you're a musician or an artist or just like great music do yourself a favor and get into this woman...i recommend it!!!

thats for you!

  2. Were you awake in the DR back then? DR was never really communist. It was a fascist dictatorship under Trujillo, which the US let happen because he was anti-communist. Then after the civil war it was basically under Balaguer's cronies for most of the time after that, particularly in the late 70s.

Dope song, though. Nice video, too.
